“Hooray World.”

If there was a bumper sticker that said only “Hooray World” on it, I think I would find a very great meaning in it. I like to try and feel privileged about life and being alive in one. I try to appreciate things as much as I can and enjoy life while I am not tied down or in “zombie mode” as I sometimes call it.
Life can get very monotonous and routine, so much that many times people will not deviate from their paths day after day, and rarely have a chance to do something different, and maybe even drastic. Specifically, during a busy work week, many times I will look up at the formation of the clouds in the sky and just stare, in awe, at how beautiful nature can be. I love the colors of the summer, the warm winds, how a person can explore any part of the world (mostly) without being incredibly cold, and many more things I probably cannot even describe. The winter to me is just as enjoyable. It is a change of season, literally, and everything about the world seems different. The sky has different patterns in it, and maybe even more colors; the wind is usually brisk and alerts you when it hits your face. The trees and plants look as if they are sleeping, and in limbo. Everything in nature during the winter has a certain calmness about it, and to me, it gives more time to observe it all and appreciate it.
I really enjoy learning new things and observing new experiences. For instance, there is a girl who has a hearing disability sitting next to me. I won’t assume anything, but for me it is a chance to see how a very different person deals with life every day. Every person has unique characteristics, and it is interesting to notice what they must do to get by.
I tend to focus on the lighter side of most things in life, and I hope that I continue looking at the world in that way. This bumper sticker shows a quick, strong appreciation for all parts of the world, as it uses the most general term possible. “World” I am not exactly sure if many other people have this same or a similar viewpoint, but I believe it makes people happy to be able to appreciate small things. The world provides a great situation for appreciation, since there is an infinite amount of aspects, organisms, and experiences to enjoy and wonder about.

  1. The world is a place where both good and bad things can happen. People should always remember to look at the good things in life and to always be positive even when things arent going in their favor.

  2. Taking time to enjoy the little things is something many of us overlook. As they say "it's the little things in life..." that make us happy. I like your outlook on life. It's upbeat and happy, and not depressing and sad.

  3. I believe that this is a good way to look at life. Many people do miss the "cool" little things in life that it has to offer everyday. That is why I like science so much I guess; it constantly reminds me of the marvels that help keep this place functioning.

  4. You have a great outlook on life! Many people tread on the negative parts of their life and fail to see the positive parts. Your essay reminds us that we should be energetic and look for the best out of every situation.

  5. Some people take for granted what we have and do not look at the fact some countries don't have it. If we just slowed down our busy lives and took some time to look at the world we'd have a greater appreciation for things.
