One topic that i could give an opinion, or both sides on, would be the drinking age in the US.
in other countries, the drinking age is set to a younger age, and in some countries, it is at a younger age than which is required to drive. many positive, and sadly negative things may come of a change such as this.
i also believe that the worlds priorities need to be re-evaluated, to serve the greater good, or even the ultimate "good"
The citizens of any country should have a much greater say in how it is "run". specifically the United States.
TELEVISION is a giant waste of time and destroys people's uniquity!
is should be regulated heavily, or destroyed

totally agree with ya man. younger people should be allowed to drink. at the age of 18 we are allowed to go fight for our country but we cant drink? what the hell is up with that.
ReplyDeleteYour last topis is very interesting. I don't know if tv should be destroyed but people are learning many "not so good" things from it. But then again, it is a way of expression and it is up to the people if they want to follow it. Drinking in the U.S. could be changed, I think that the U.S. abuses drinking, other countries have it lower age and yet they are fine and don't cause so much trouble like it is over here. If we could just teach them to drink more responsibly, I have no problem with lowering the age.
ReplyDeleteYour 1st topic is a good one, because people are on both sides of the fence. I'll say that I agree with you. When I spent a couple years in Germany, I can count on one hand the number of alchohol related incidents the German population had. They dont have the problems we do.
ReplyDeleteYour 4th topic is interesting too. Though I disagree that it should be destroyer completely, I agree that it is having a negative impact on our future generations. Kids are getting lazy.
First one seems best for SAM GOLEB! x] I know you're in favor of lowering the drinking age but you're right about the possible negative outcomes. It will probably be chaaaaos.
ReplyDeleteHi Sam,
ReplyDeleteI like the TV topic. I have a young child who is W-I-L-D, and if we didn't get a little Sesame Street, Bob the Builder, or Berenstein Bears in each day I would probably go crazy! Many moms I know are against TV usage for young kids though.
Your second and third topics are interesting but I'm not sure where you would go with either. What is your angle?
im not exactly sure about the second or third topics i posted, they were just ideas that i thought could be changed for the better.
ReplyDeletei believe i am going to leave the drinking age issue to Mr. Erik over here and take the television "controversy" for myself.
i would not be for completely getting rid of television, but i am full force on seeing that television gets about 80% less attention and money spent on it in todays society. every aspect of life is covered by TV instead of people experiencing it for themselves..
hell.. theres virtual vacations that you can take while youre sitting on your couch... why not go for a drive on the back roads of mount airy or clarksburg.. the area we live in is beautiful... and much more fun to explore than some foreign country from another person's point of view.
and noo it would not necessarily be chaos.
ReplyDeletemaybe, just maybe kids could learn that alcohol is just for getting incoherent and "rowdy".
it can be regulated and enjoyed more for other activites you may do while drinking, and not just drinking itself
Sam, well apparently you are already on a roll with this subject. Instead of telling me all this through this blog, choose that as your topic! xD
